Marriage is sharing our life with the one we love. Each individual is different from each other and each has their own responsibilities. Equal partners will work together and have equal power even though each has a different function (the main provider and stay at home parent, for example).

A marriage of equal partners means a marriage where:

- Both partners help one another in their responsibilities and dreams.

- Both partners are also a source of encouragement as each follows their individual dreams.

- They are influenced by each other. The relationship is not dominated by one of them.

- The responsibilities are based on individual and family needs, not on gender roles.

Benefits of equal partners in marriage:

- A happier relationship (both will feel like they have some influence and importance in the relationship).

- Better parenting (less stressful marriages result in less stressful parents).

- Improved individual well-being.
